Job summary

Brisbane Isuzu, a leading automotive dealership group based in Brisbane, is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to support our People & Culture team across the employee lifecycle. You will focus on employee relations, performance management, recruitment and workplace compliance, providing practical HR guidance to managers and staff in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years' experience in Human Resources, People & Culture or related role.
• Demonstrated experience supporting employee relations and performance management matters.
• Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation and Modern Awards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day HR advice and support to managers and employees across a range of people matters.
• Assist with employee relations matters including performance management, grievances and workplace concerns.
• Support workplace investigations and prepare relevant documentation.
• Assist managers with interpretation and application of policies, Modern Awards and employment conditions.
• Coordinate end-to-end recruitment activities including advertising, screening, interviewing and onboarding.
• Prepare employment contracts and employment-related documentation.
• Support learning and development initiatives and performance review processes.
• Assist with workers' compensation administration and return-to-work activities.
• Maintain employee records and HR systems.
• Support HR projects, compliance activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prepare HR reports and workforce-related data as required.

Reporting to the People & Culture Manager, you will play a key role in providing practical HR support across the employee lifecycle, with a particular focus on employee relations, performance management, recruitment and workplace compliance.

About the Role

As the HR Advisor, you will provide day-to-day support and guidance to managers and employees across a range of people matters.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• 2-5 years' experience in a Human Resources, People & Culture or related role
• Demonstrated experience supporting employee relations and performance management matters
• Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation and Modern Awards
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to build positive relationships with managers and employees
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach
• Strong administration and Microsoft Office skills
• Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline
• Current Australian Driver Licence
