Job summary

Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) is seeking an experienced HR Adviser to join the People & Culture team, providing practical HR advice to managers and employees across the News Division. You will handle generalist HR matters, support change initiatives, and act as an escalation point for the HR Helpdesk, ensuring consistent application of policies.

This role offers exposure to HR partnering and a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy generalist HR environment.
• Ability to provide practical advice to managers.
• Knowledge of HR practices and employment legislation.
• Experience supporting performance management and organisational change.

Responsibilities

• Providing practical HR advice and guidance to managers on employee relations, performance management and other people matters.
• Supporting organisational change initiatives, including consultation, communication and implementation activities.
• Managing and resolving HR enquiries and issues escalated from the People & Culture Helpdesk.
• Advising managers on HR policies, procedures and enterprise agreement requirements.
• Building effective relationships with stakeholders across the News Division to understand and respond to their HR needs.
• Contributing to HR projects and initiatives that support business priorities and improve people processes.
