Job summary

As a Support Coordinator, you will deliver strengths‑based case management, advocacy, service coordination and practical support to help clients reach their goals.

You will work with individuals facing complex life circumstances, engaging with partners and stakeholders to ensure access to housing and related services.

Qualifications

  • Experience providing case management, support coordination or community-based support services.
  • Strong ability to build professional, strengths-based relationships with people experiencing complex challenges.
  • Understanding of homelessness, mental health, AOD issues and family/domestic violence.
  • Well-developed report writing, assessment and analytical skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office and client management systems.
  • Commitment to recovery‑oriented, person-centred and culturally safe practice.
  • Genuine commitment to Ruah's vision, mission and values.

Responsibilities

  • Provide case management and support coordination to clients experiencing homelessness.
  • Develop recovery plans and coordinate referrals.
  • Advocate for access to housing and community services.
  • Collaborate with Support and Peer Workers and external stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate client records and progress notes.
