Community Housing Limited is seeking a Housing and Property Officer to deliver tenancy and property management across CHL owned and leased properties. The role is primarily based at Port Macquarie, with occasional travel to Kempsey to support operations.
You will work with Housing Services Coordinators, Housing Officers, Responsive Maintenance and Asset Management teams, balancing tenancy management with maintenance coordination to ensure high service standards.
Community Housing Limited is seeking a Housing and Property Officer to join our Housing Services team in a hands-on role delivering tenancy and property management across CHL owned and leased properties.
This role is primarily based at our Port Macquarie office. However, flexibility is required, as occasional travel and work from our Kempsey office may be necessary to support operational requirements.
Unlike a traditional Housing Officer or Maintenance Officer position, this role provides operational support across multiple functions. You'll work closely with our Housing Services Coordinators, Housing Officers, Responsive Maintenance team and Asset Management team, stepping in where additional capacity is needed to ensure our customers continue receiving a high standard of service.
This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys balancing customer-focused tenancy management with practical property and maintenance coordination. One day you may be completing tenancy sign-ups, managing rent reviews or attending Tribunal, while the next you're coordinating responsive maintenance, liaising with contractors or supporting asset-related projects.
As the Housing and Property Officer, you'll support both the Housing Services and Property Operations teams, providing a mix of tenancy management and responsive maintenance coordination.
The role is ideal for someone who likes variety. It is designed to provide operational flexibility, allowing you to move between tenancy and property functions to help maintain service delivery during periods of leave, peak workloads and changing operational priorities.
Community Housing Limited (CHL) is a leading not-for-profit organisation dedicated to making a positive impact in the housing sector. If you're looking for a varied role where no two days are the same, and you enjoy combining tenancy management with property operations to support better housing outcomes, we'd love to hear from you.
