Job summary

NSW Department of Communities and Justice – Homes NSW is seeking a Client Service Officer for Housing & Homelessness in the Northern District. You will help tenants, applicants and vulnerable clients access safe and stable housing, visiting homes, answering inquiries, and coordinating with partner agencies.

Based in Tweed Heads NSW, the role is office-based with ongoing training, development opportunities, and a clear pathway for career progression within Homes NSW.

Qualifications

• Current NSW Driver Licence required.
• Willingness to travel regularly to engage with clients.
• Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid working rights in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Visit tenants in their homes on a regular schedule.
• Address tenancy-related issues including rent arrears and property care.
• Assist clients at the service counter, by phone, and in the community.
• Collaborate with Government and non-Government services to support tenancy sustainment.
• Manage housing assistance pathways and support inquiries across teams.
