Job summary

Hyatt Hotel Canberra is seeking a Team Leader – Housekeeping to support the Housekeeping Manager in maintaining the hotel’s guest rooms and public areas. You will coordinate daily work, ensure standard presentation, and promptly handle guest requests to uphold Hyatt’s high service standards.

You will lead a housekeeping team, oversee allocations, supervise briefings, and monitor supplies and payroll while contributing to a luxurious guest experience at this heritage-inspired Park Hyatt property.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel housekeeping.
• Good problem-solving skills and sound judgement.
• Clear, friendly communication skills.
• Strong administrative and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guest requests and special requirements are actioned promptly and accurately.
• Help prepare daily work allocations and lead briefings for housekeeping attendants.
• Inspect VIP rooms and conduct daily room checks to ensure they meet hotel standards.
• Help plan, organise and direct the team to support an efficient housekeeping operation.
• Monitor expenses, payroll, guest supplies, cleaning supplies and laundry use.
• Support the Housekeeping Manager with the day-to-day coordination of the department.

About the role
