Job summary

Hyatt Hotel Canberra, a Park Hyatt Hotel, is seeking a Team Leader - Stewarding to supervise the Stewarding department, ensure smooth operations, and support chefs with day-to-day activities. You will guide cleaning and storage of equipment and help maintain high standards in a fast-paced environment.

• Current work experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment is preferred.
• Strong people management and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Stewards in the daily operations.
• Delegate responsibilities and duties to Stewarding team members and monitor tasks such as cleaning, dishwashing, or pot washing.
• Work with the team to maximise employee morale and productivity.
• Assist in conducting fortnightly payroll processing with the support of Human Resources and Payroll.
• Conduct monthly inventory checks on all operating equipment and supplies.

About the Role

As the Team Leader - Stewarding, you will assist with the smooth and efficient running of the department through the supervision. You will assist and guide with cleaning and storage of operating equipment. Working in a team you will support the Chef in supervising and managing the day to day operations.

Please note; the role does not involve any food preparation, though, on occasion you may be required to assist the chefs with plate-up.

Some of the responsibilities include:

• Assist the Stewards in the daily operations
