Job summary

Hyatt Hotel Canberra is recruiting for a Team Leader – Housekeeping to support the Housekeeping Manager in maintaining the hotel’s high standards across guest rooms and floors. You will coordinate daily work, ensure prompt guest service, and uphold brand quality in a luxury heritage property.

The role involves leading a team, organising work allocations, and ensuring consistent presentation and cleanliness forVIP and standard rooms.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guest requests and special requirements are actioned promptly and accurately.
• Prepare daily work allocations and lead briefings for housekeeping attendants.
• Inspect VIP rooms and conduct daily room checks to meet hotel standards.
• Plan, organise and direct the team to support efficient housekeeping operation.
• Monitor expenses, payroll, guest supplies, cleaning supplies and laundry use.
• Support the Housekeeping Manager with day-to-day coordination of the department.

About the role

The Team Leader – Housekeeping supports the Housekeeping Manager in overseeing the cleanliness and presentation of the hotel’s guest rooms and floors. You’ll help coordinate the team’s daily work, maintain hotel standards and ensure guest requests are handled promptly.
