Job summary

Accor's Novotel & Ibis Melbourne Central is seeking an experienced Housekeeping Leader to drive cleanliness and guest satisfaction in a dynamic hotel environment.

You will lead and motivate a team to deliver high standards across guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house spaces, while managing rosters and inventory with a focus on cost control and guest comfort at all times. A strong grooming standard and flexibility to work varied shifts are essential.

Qualifications

• You have a commitment to providing exceptional experiences for our guests.
• Exceptional leadership skills with demonstrated results in developing and motivating teams, your lead by example approach will be infectious.
• Lead team members to achieve high standards of cleanliness for guest rooms, public areas and back of house areas within the hotel.
• Have high standards of grooming and presentation.
• Be available and flexible to work various rostered shifts, including early mornings, late evenings and on weekends.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that room cleaning productivity is monitored closely and maintained.
• Provide ongoing performance feedback to Housekeeping employees.
• Handle or resolve all guest complaints and establish amicable relations with guests of the hotel and look after their needs and comforts at all times.
• Ensure that the control and administration of lost properly is properly recorded and stored accordingly.
• Assist the Executive Housekeeper with the preparation of weekly staffing schedules, monitoring staff attendance and labour planning to meet with activity in the Hotel so as to maintain cost effectiveness.
• Maintain an accurate and proper inventory of all stocks, guest supplies, linens, etc.
