Job summary

Hyatt Hotel Canberra - A Park Hyatt Hotel is seeking a capable Housekeeping Administration assistant to support the day-to-day operations of the Housekeeping Department. You will coordinate guest requests, maintain accurate room status and provide admin support to Front Office, Engineering and Housekeeping teams.

The ideal candidate has previous housekeeping or hotel admin experience, knows Opera PMS/HotSOS, and demonstrates excellent organisational, communication and time management skills.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Housekeeping or hotel administration.
• Strong organisational skills and time management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in room status checks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with Opera PMS/HotSOS is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily Housekeeping Office operations, including room allocations and guest requests.
• Monitor Opera PMS and HotSOS to ensure accurate room status and timely maintenance requests.
• Coordinate VIP arrivals, guest amenities, laundry and special housekeeping requests.
• Maintain the Lost Property register and handle guest belongings per hotel procedures.
• Prepare daily allocation sheets, reports and support roster updates and stock ordering.
• Collaborate with Front Office, Engineering and Housekeeping to exceed guest expectations.
