Job summary

Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort Port Douglas is seeking a friendly, detail‑minded Housekeeping Attendant to join our resort team. This part‑time, non‑management role reports to the Executive Housekeeper and involves guest room upkeep, replenishing amenities, bed making, and maintaining cleanliness to Marriott standards in a tropical North Queensland setting.

You should be able to work flexible rosters, including weekends, and have valid rights to work in Australia.

Qualifications

• Warm, people oriented demeanor.
• Team first attitude and reliability.
• Attention to detail in room presentation and cleanliness.
• Experience in housekeeping is desirable in a Four- or Five-Star hotel.

Responsibilities

• Replace guest amenities and supplies in rooms.
• Make beds, remove dirty linens and room service items.
• Dust and polish walls and furnishings.
• Vacuum carpets and perform floor care duties.
• Ensure guest privacy is maintained at all times.

Working within our friendly and professional Housekeeping Department, this position reports to the Executive Housekeeper.

Responsibilities include and are not limited to

• Replace guest amenities and supplies in rooms
• Make beds, remove dirty linens and room service items
• Dust and polish walls and furnishings
• Vacuum carpets and floor care duties
• Ensure the guest's privacy is maintained at all times
• Ability to work flexible rosters including weekends
• Providing all guests at the resort with a superior, personalized and memorable experience by greeting and assisting guests with any query / requirements in a professional and timely manner

Preferred applicants will have valid working rights to work in Australia. Sponsorship will not be available for this position.
