Job summary

DCOH, a Darwin-based hospitality and development group, is seeking a Sales & Marketing Assistant to support the team with content creation for print and digital materials, proposals, and outgoing communications. In this role you will help coordinate events, manage marketing correspondence, and assist in developing campaigns.

You will handle telemarketing to identify new clients, maintain promotional materials, and work with diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months experience in hotel operations or a sales/marketing role.
• Bachelor or tertiary qualification in hospitality.
• Demonstrates sound understanding of digital marketing concepts and emerging industry trends.
• Stays up-to-date with the latest sales and marketing trends, especially in social media.
• Thrives in fast-paced environments with strong planning and execution abilities.
• Displays attention to detail and effectively manages diverse stakeholders.
• Shows initiative and the ability to work independently in dynamic situations.
• Strong focus and passion for hotel operations.
• Excellent organizational skills in managing correspondence, meeting minutes, and promotional materials.
• Drafts compelling proposals and communication materials to enhance strategies.
• Takes initiative in telemarketing to identify new clients and provides weekly summaries.
• Demonstrates multicultural awareness and collaborates well with diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Create content for print, online and digital distribution.
• Assist with proposals, drafting documents, mail-outs and outgoing communication material.
• Contribute to specified projects relating to internal/external promotions.
• Maintain knowledge of hotel rates, packages and operations for site inspections with clients.
• Handle all incoming telephone calls and follow through on initiatives.
• Sales-focused telemarketing for new clients and weekly outcome summaries.
• Maintain electronic files of contracts, wholesaler, group and corporate rates.
• Distribute promotional materials as required (brochures, sales kits).
• Coordinate marketing strategies and campaigns to support ecommerce.
• Support the team in developing and executing marketing plans.
