Job summary

Citadines Walker North Sydney is seeking a reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team. You will support the Maintenance Manager with day-to-day upkeep of guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house spaces in a premium hotel environment.

You will gain hands-on experience, work under mentorship, and develop practical skills in maintenance and facilities management, with opportunities to advance within a global hospitality group. A positive attitude and attention to detail are essential.

Responsibilities

• Respond to maintenance requests throughout the hotel.

• Ensure workplace health and safety compliance.

Citadines Walker North Sydney is seeking a reliable and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with basic maintenance, trade assistant, facilities, or property services experience who is looking to further develop their skills in a supportive hotel environment.

Working alongside and being mentored by an experienced Maintenance Manager, you will gain valuable hands-on experience maintaining a premium hotel while developing practical skills that can support a long-term career in maintenance and facilities management.

About the Role

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will assist with the day-to-day upkeep of the hotel, helping to ensure guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces are maintained to a high standard.

Key responsibilities include:

• Responding to maintenance requests throughout the hotel
• Assisting with preventative maintenance programs
• Completing minor repairs, painting, patching, and general handyman tasks
• Assisting with room inspections and property checks
• Supporting contractors and service providers when required
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records
• Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety requirements
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
• Assisting with emergency maintenance situations when required
