Job summary

Bull & Bush Hotel in Baulkham Hills is seeking passionate, skilled and motivated Chefs and Cooks to join our kitchen team, delivering quality food in a busy hotel environment.

You will prepare, cook and present meals to the menu and quality standards, assist with menu planning and daily specials, and maintain food safety, hygiene and stock control.

Salary package between 75,000 and 85,000 per annum plus superannuation; on-going professional development in an established hotel kitchen.

Qualifications

• Commercial cookery qualification or equivalent industry experience.
• Experience in a commercial kitchen, hotel, pub or restaurant.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present meals meeting the hotel's menu and quality standards.
• Assist with menu planning, food prep and development of daily specials.
• Ensure consistency in food quality, portion control and presentation.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety standards.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering to minimise waste.
• Collaborate with kitchen team and keep a clean, organised workspace.
• Support busy lunch and dinner service with timely preparation.
• Deliver all meals within required service times safely and efficiently.
