Job summary

Minor Hotels ANZ is seeking a hands-on Maintenance & Facilities Manager for AVANI Broadbeach Residences on the Gold Coast. You will lead property operations, oversee preventive maintenance, manage contractors, and support upgrades and sustainability initiatives in a full-time role.

The position requires experience in hotel maintenance, strong knowledge of building systems, WHS compliance, and leadership abilities to develop a team.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance or facilities management experience in hotels.
• Strong knowledge of building systems and regulatory compliance.
• Experience coordinating contractors and external vendors.
• Proven leadership and team development skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and reporting tools.
• Building or trade qualifications are highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preventative maintenance program to ensure optimal property performance and asset protection.
• Perform hands-on repairs and maintenance across the property as required.
• Supervise and manage service areas including electrical, mechanical, pest control, cleaning, fire protection, security systems and approved contractor works.
• Oversee general building upkeep tasks including painting, plastering, carpentry and minor works.
• Ensure strict WHS compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Manage stock control, purchasing, supplier coordination and cost-efficient resource allocation.
• Prepare quotes, schedule works, and manage Capex requests.
• Contribute to long-term asset planning, sustainability initiatives and continuous improvement.
