Job summary

Minor Hotels AU & NZ seeks a hands-on Maintenance & Facilities Manager for AVANI Broadbeach Residences on a full-time basis. You will lead maintenance operations, oversee preventative programs, manage contractors and ensure WHS compliance to keep systems running smoothly across the property.

Responsibilities include hands-on repairs, budgeting, asset planning and sustainability initiatives, with supervision of electrical, mechanical, pest control, cleaning and security functions.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance and facilities management experience in hotel or similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of building systems and compliance requirements.
• Experience coordinating and negotiating with contractors and external vendors.

Responsibilities

• Lead preventative maintenance programs to ensure property performance and asset protection.
• Perform hands-on repairs and maintenance as required.
• Supervise service areas including electrical, mechanical, pest control, cleaning, fire protection, security and contractor works.
• Oversee general upkeep across painting, plastering, carpentry and minor building works.
• Ensure strict WHS and regulatory compliance.
• Manage stock control, purchasing, vendor coordination and cost-efficient resource allocation.
• Prepare quotes, schedule works and manage Capex requests.
• Contribute to long-term asset planning and sustainability initiatives.
