Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts at InterContinental Adelaide is seeking a friendly concierge to welcome guests, assist with luggage and transport, and help create a seamless arrival and departure experience. No previous hotel experience is required; attitude and confidence are key, with shifts from 7am to 11pm across days, weekends, and holidays.

You will maintain a polished, professional presence and work closely with other departments to ensure a personalised guest experience.

Qualifications

• Full Australian work rights.
• Valid driver license (Australian preferred, international accepted).
• Ability to lift up to 23 kg.
• Flexibility to work 7am–11pm including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Excellent communication and guest service skills.

We're looking for a friendly, confident and well-presented individual to join our concierge team, welcoming guests, assisting with luggage and helping create a seamless arrival and departure experience. You don't need previous hotel experience to succeed in this role. What matters most is your attitude, your confidence in connecting with people and your pride in presenting yourself and your work to the highest standard.

Your Day to Day:

• Welcoming guests with warmth, confidence and genuine professionalism.
• Assisting guests with luggage, organising transportation,valet parking and fulfilling a variety of other needs the guests may have
• Staying one step of our guests’ needs to anticipate requests and offer tailored recommendations
• Maintaining a polished and professional presence that reflects the standards of InterContinental Adelaide.
• Working closely with other operational departments to esnure a personalised guest experience.

What we need from you:

• A full driver's license - Australian preferred, but International will be accepted.
• Ability to lift, pull and push large objects up to 23kg
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts between 7am and 11pm – night, weekend and holiday shifts are all part of the job
• A friendly smile, you'll be our guests first point of contact entering our hotel.
• Communication skills - guests will need to come to you with concerns as well as compliments, so you’ll be easy to talk to
• Your problem-solving skills will turn issues into opportunities, so every guest leaves with great memories
