Job description

Job Description

Location: South Melbourne

Reporting to: Head of Events

If you are an experienced events professional who thrives on creating exceptional experiences and loves the buzz of live delivery, this is your opportunity to take ownership of a diverse, high-profile events portfolio and bring standout moments to life.

About Us

Aaron Sansoni Group International (ASGI) is Australia’s market leader in entrepreneurial and business education. We have supported more than 700,000 students across 132 industries worldwide. Our programs change lives and businesses, and the demand is massive.

Founded by Aaron Sansoni, best-selling author, investor, and global authority on building business empires, we back our team with the same proven sales systems and training that Aaron has used to mentor some of the most successful entrepreneurs today.

The Role

As Event Manager, you will lead the end-to-end planning and delivery of ASG’s internal and external events across live, hybrid, and virtual formats. Working closely with the Head of Events, you will own multiple events at once, from early concept and experience design through to on-site execution and post-event wrap-up.

This is a hands-on role for someone who keeps a cool head under pressure, loves detail as much as big-picture thinking, and genuinely enjoys working with people. You’ll be the kind of person others trust when the stakes are high and timelines tight.

What You Will Do

  • Manage a portfolio of events from concept to completion, including planning, budgeting, logistics, vendors, technology, and on-site delivery
  • Run production desks and lead show-calls with confidence
  • Create detailed event operational briefs and oversee all event logistics
  • Design and continuously improve the end-to-end attendee experience
  • Manage speakers and talent end-to-end, including briefings, rehearsals, travel, and stage management
  • Lead on-site operations, supervising contractors, casual staff, and suppliers
  • Deliver events on time, on budget, and above expectations
  • Lead post-event debriefs, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Manage venues, suppliers, contracts, and negotiations
  • Oversee event collateral and merchandise in collaboration with the Brand & Marketing team
  • Ensure all messaging and materials align with ASG brand guidelines

People Management

  • Lead, coach, and support event team members to deliver high-quality outcomes
  • Manage event staffing, rostering, briefings, and live troubleshooting
  • Lead contractors and casual teams onsite, including onboarding and performance feedback
  • Manage and track event budgets and financial reporting
  • Complete post-event reconciliation and debriefs
  • Maintain accurate event data within the CRM
  • Ensure all events meet legal, WHS, and compliance requirements

What We Are Looking For

  • Proven experience delivering high-quality events in fast-paced environments
  • Confidence running production desks and live show-calls
  • Strong project management, planning, and organisational skills
  • Experience managing speakers, talent, contractors, and suppliers
  • A creative mindset with the ability to elevate attendee experiences
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Calm, solutions-focused approach under pressure
  • Experience with event technology platforms (e.g. Cvent or similar)
  • A proactive, hands-on attitude with a genuine passion for events
  • Flexibility to work outside standard hours and travel when required

Why Join Us

  • Ownership of high-impact, business-critical events
  • A collaborative, supportive Events and Marketing team
  • The opportunity to shape memorable experiences at scale
  • A fast-moving environment where no two days are the same
  • Work with a nationally recognisable brand in growth and education
