Job summary

My Guardian Group is hiring a caring Carer in New South Wales, Australia. You will provide compassionate, person-centred care, offering companionship, support with daily tasks, and help with mobility and independence under a supportive team.

Responsibilities include documenting services, monitoring client wellbeing, and reporting concerns promptly. Training and development are provided, with opportunities for schedule flexibility and ongoing career progression.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering domestic assistance including cleaning, laundry, and home safety.
• Experience helping clients with transport to appointments, shopping and activities.
• Strong record-keeping of services and incident reports per guidelines.

Responsibilities of this role will include, but not limited to:

• Offer companionship and emotional support to promote wellbeing and reduce loneliness.
• Carry out light household duties such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping.
• Monitor and record changes in clients’ health or behaviour, reporting concerns promptly.
• Maintain accurate care records and ensure dignity, privacy, and safeguarding at all times.

Skills, Experiences and Qualifications:

• Experience providing domestic assistance such as cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and maintaining a safe home environment.
• Experience supporting clients with transport to appointments, shopping, and social activities, promoting independence and community engagement.
• Strong ability to accurately document services provided, record incidents, and complete reports in line with organisational and regulatory requirements.
• Cert 3 in Aged or Disability Care or equivalent is a plus
• A valid NDX Check, or willing to obtain one
• Current First Aid Certificate, as this is necessary to complete personal care
• Valid police check, or is willing to obtain one
