Job summary

My Guardian is seeking a caring, reliable Carer to provide high-quality, person-centred care in Mackay QLD. You will support clients with daily tasks, accompany them to appointments and activities, and document care activities to ensure safety and wellbeing.

Role requires compassion, reliability and a desire to help others with dignity and independence. Willingness to travel within Mackay post code 4740 is needed; sponsorship or flexible shifts may be available for suitable candidates.

Qualifications

• Experience providing domestic assistance including cleaning, laundry, and home safety.
• Experience supporting clients with transport to appointments and activities.
• Ability to document services and complete reports per regulations.
• Cert 3 in Aged or Disability Care or equivalent is a plus.
• NDIS Check or willingness to obtain one is preferred.
• Current First Aid Certificate is necessary for personal care.

Responsibilities

• Offer companionship and emotional support to promote wellbeing.
• Carry out light household duties such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping.
• Monitor and record changes in clients’ health or behaviour, reporting concerns promptly.
• Maintain accurate care records while upholding dignity, privacy, and safeguarding.

Responsibilities of this role will include, but not limited to:

• Carry out light household duties such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping.

• Monitor and record changes in clients’ health or behaviour, reporting concerns promptly.

• Maintain accurate care records and ensure dignity, privacy, and safeguarding at all times.

Skills, Experiences and Qualifications:.

• Experience providing domestic assistance such as cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and maintaining a safe home environment.

• Experience supporting clients with transport to appointments, shopping, and social activities, promoting independence and community engagement.

• Strong ability to accurately document services provided, record incidents, and complete reports in line with organisational and regulatory requirements.

• Cert 3 in Aged or Disability Care or equivalent is a plus

• A valid NDIS Check, or willing to obtain one

• Current First Aid Certificate, as this is necessary to complete personal care

• Valid police check, or is willing to obtain one
