Job summary

My Guardian is seeking a Home Care Worker to join our Canton Beach team, NSW. The role focuses on compassionate, person-centred care, helping clients live with dignity, independence and comfort.

You will provide companionship, assist with light housework, transport to appointments, and maintain careful care records. Relevant qualifications include Cert 3 in Aged or Disability Care, First Aid, NDIS and police checks.

Qualifications

• Experience providing domestic assistance and maintaining a safe home.
• Experience supporting transport to appointments and social activities.
• Ability to document services and incidents clearly.
• Cert 3 in Aged or Disability Care is a plus.
• NDIS Check and First Aid certification are desirable.
• Current police check or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Offer companionship and emotional support to promote wellbeing.
• Carry out light household duties (cleaning, laundry, shopping).
• Monitor health or behaviour changes and report concerns.

• Carry out light household duties such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping.

• Monitor and record changes in clients’ health or behaviour, reporting concerns promptly.

• Maintain accurate care records and ensure dignity, privacy, and safeguarding at all times.

Skills, Experiences and Qualifications:.

• Experience providing domestic assistance such as cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and maintaining a safe home environment.

• Experience supporting clients with transport to appointments, shopping, and social activities, promoting independence and community engagement.

• Strong ability to accurately document services provided, record incidents, and complete reports in line with organisational and regulatory requirements.

• Cert 3 in Aged or Disability Care or equivalent is a plus

• A valid NDIS Check, or willing to obtain one

• Current First Aid Certificate, as this is necessary to complete personal care

• Valid police check, or is willing to obtain one
