Job summary

Australian Unity is hiring Home Care Support Workers to assist clients in the Blue Mountains and surrounding areas with in‑home help, transport and personal care. A current Australian driver’s licence and a reliable insured vehicle are required; rosters are available Monday to Friday with opportunities for extra hours.

Permanent Part‑Time or Casual roles offer a pay rate of $32.61–$36.59 per hour, 12% super, travel allowance, paid travel time, a smartphone and uniform, plus a fully supported

Qualifications

• Current Australian Driver’s License is required.
• Ownership of a reliable comprehensively insured vehicle is required.
• Flexibility to work rosters between Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

• Help at Home: cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
• Transportation and Personal Care: assist with appointments, shopping and daily activities.
• Client awareness: build relationships and observe clients with support.
• Safety practices: follow health and safety guidelines.

Our Home Health program delivers in-home support services to our aged care customers to help them live independently, supported and empowered, within their own homes and communities.

We are seeking Home Care Support Workers in the Blue Mountains and surrounding areas including - Springwood, Faulconbridge, Sun Valley, Winmalee, Warrimoo, Glenbrook, Blaxland, Penrith, Jamisontown, Regentville, Glenmore Park, Leonay, Lapstone, Emu Plains, Emu Heights, Glebrook, Mount Riverview.

What’s On Offer

• Contract Type: Permanent Part-Time or Casual (based on your location and availability)
• $32.61 to $36.59/hour (dependent on experience) + 12% super + travel allowance of $0.92 per KM + paid travel time

Your New Role

• Help at Home: such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation etc.
• Transportation and Personal Care: Experienced staff assist customers with appointments, shopping, social outings, showering, toileting, feeding etc.
• Client Awareness: Building relationships with clients and their families, conducting client observations with ongoing support and training
• Safety Practices: Adhering to health and safety guidelines and policies to keep yourself and our customers safe

Key Requirements

• Current Australian Driver’s License and ownership of a reliable comprehensively insured vehicle
• Flexibility and availability to work rosters between Monday to Friday
