Job summary

RSL LifeCare is seeking a highly organised Workforce Scheduler for our Home Care unit to roster client services across the home care network. This permanent full-time role runs 6am–2pm, Monday to Friday, and focuses on delivering personalised, high-quality care while aligning staff skills with client needs.

You will collaborate with care staff, coordinators, and clients to optimise rosters and support compliance across sites.

Qualifications

• Experience with rostering systems and database management – we use AlayCare.
• Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems.
• Knowledge of EBAs, penalty rates, and scheduling across multiple sites.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to person-centred care and respect for diversity.
• Empathetic nature and patience with senior clients.

Responsibilities

• Manage accurate and timely rostering of services to meet client needs and organisational standards.
• Act as the first point of contact for care staff regarding rostering requirements.
• Ensure compliance with aged care standards, funding requirements, WHS, and enterprise agreements.
• Collaborate with clients, their support networks, and care coordinators to uphold client choice and dignity.
• Monitor KPIs related to travel time, missed services, and labour hire.
• Provide training and support on rostering systems and processes.
• Participate in audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
