Job summary

NVC Group in the Nambucca Valley is seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant & Domestic Assistant to join our Community Care team. You will provide person-centred support in clients' homes, helping them live safely and with dignity.

Requirements include a Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent with Medication Competency, at least 1 year of experience, a NSW driver's license, and reliable transport. We offer above‑award pay, ongoing training, and salary packaging.

Qualifications

• Current NSW Driver's Licence and reliable transport.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including hygiene, grooming, bathing, toileting and dressing.
• Assist with mobility, transfers and maintain a safe home environment.
• Support with daily living tasks: meals, medications reminders, shopping, social support and light domestic duties.
• Build respectful relationships that promote client choice and independence.
• Observe changes in health and report to supervisor.
• Domestic tasks: cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and household organisation.

About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Personal Care Assistant & Domestic Assistant to join our Community Care team in the Nambucca Valley.

This role involves providing person-centred support to clients in their own homes, enabling them to live safely, independently, and with dignity.

Key Responsibilities - Personal Care Assistant

Assist clients with personal care including hygiene, grooming, bathing, toileting, and dressing

Support mobility, transfers, and maintain a safe home environment

Assist with daily living tasks such as meal preparation, medication reminders, shopping, social support, and light domestic duties

Build respectful, trusting relationships that promote client choice and independence

Observe and report changes in clients' health or circumstances to your supervisor

Key Responsibilities - Domestic Assistant

Vacuuming, dusting and mopping all floors

Bathroom cleaning – shower, bath, toilet and vanity

Kitchen cleaning – washing dishes, wiping over all surfaces, cleaning out refrigerator & microwave

Wiping down shelves and tabletops

Organise drawers and closets

Changing of bed linen

Wiping windows

About You

You will bring:

Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability Support, or equivalent with Medication Competency

Minimum 1 year experience as a Personal Care Worker

Current NSW Driver's Licence and reliable transport

A caring, patient, and respectful approach

Strong communication skills and professional boundaries

Reliability, punctuality, and integrity

Mandatory Requirements

Applicants must hold or be willing to obtain:

Current National Police Check

Relevant training or willingness to complete training (First Aid, Manual Handling, Infection Control, etc.)
