Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Team Manager to lead its highways group in Queensland. This senior role combines people leadership with strong client relationships, commercial oversight and project delivery across major road and transport projects.

You will work with Transport leadership to shape the team’s direction, cultivate collaboration across Australia and New Zealand, and drive opportunities with the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) and other clients.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading highways or civil infrastructure teams in consultancy or similar environment.
• Strong understanding of Queensland roads/highways sector and procurement processes.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and pursue business opportunities.
• Good commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and resources.
• Collaborative leadership across locations and disciplines, with a focus on safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing highways team across Queensland.
• Strengthen relationships with key transport clients and regulators (TMR).
• Oversee project portfolio, budgets, resources and delivery performance.
• Support business development, pursuits, bids and client engagement.
• Promote a culture of safety, quality and sustainability across projects.
