Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Team Manager to lead its Highways team in Sydney, driving growth and developer relationships with NSW clients while delivering major road and transport projects. You will oversee planning, design and delivery, manage budgets, and foster a high-performing, inclusive culture across the team.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in the roads and highways sector.
• Demonstrated experience leading technical teams within an engineering consultancy or similar environment.
• Strong relationships across the transport market, with credibility with clients and industry partners.
• Experience identifying opportunities, contributing to successful pursuits and supporting business growth.
• Collaborative leadership style, across teams, disciplines and locations.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop a high-performing team of highways professionals across NSW.
• Build a positive and inclusive team culture focused on collaboration, development and technical excellence.
• Strengthen AECOM’s relationship with key transport clients across NSW.
• Work closely with clients to understand their priorities, identify opportunities and position AECOM for future work.
• Support business development activities, including strategic pursuits, bids, proposals and client engagement.
• Oversee the team’s project portfolio, resources, workload, budgets and financial performance.
• Provide leadership and guidance across the planning, design and delivery of highways projects.
• Work collaboratively with other Transport teams and disciplines across Australia and New Zealand.
• Champion safety, quality and sustainable outcomes across the team’s projects and day-to-day operations.
