Job summary

Hastings Deering is seeking a qualified High Voltage Electrician to join our Middlemount operations in Queensland. You will maintain CAT mining equipment, diagnose faults, perform repairs and warranty work on high voltage systems, and support reliable fleet performance on a KPI-driven roster.

This is a permanent 7/7 day/night drive-in/drive-out role offering top remuneration and extensive CAT training, safety-focused culture, and opportunities to advance within a leading Caterpillar dealership.

Qualifications

• Electrical trade qualification with heavy industry or mining experience.
• High voltage capability on mining or heavy equipment.
• Current Standard 11 and Coal Board Medical, or ability to obtain.
• Experience using Caterpillar diagnostic systems ET, VIMS, SIMSi and SIS is a plus.
• Strong customer-focused communication and safety-first approach.

Responsibilities

• Maintain CAT mining equipment electrical systems, perform fault finding and repairs.
• Carry out warranty work and ensure safety and quality standards.
• Use Caterpillar diagnostics to identify and resolve faults.
• Provide clear updates to onsite stakeholders and document service reports.
