Job summary

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of the curriculum and ability to incorporate literacy and numeracy into teaching.
• Experience planning high impact teaching strategies guided by how students learn and evaluating impact on growth.
• Experience monitoring and assessing student learning and using data to inform practice and provide feedback to students and parents.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to collaborate with students, parents, colleagues and the broader school community.
• Behaviours and attitudes aligned with Department values and commitment to ongoing professional learning.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups and individuals to achieve student outcomes.
• Contribute to development, implementation and evaluation of curriculum programs within the school.
• Undertake other classroom teaching duties as determined by the School Principal.
• Participate in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
• Undertake other non-teaching supervisory duties as required.
