Job summary

The successful candidate will use student data to inform instruction and will collaborate with staff to support student wellbeing, engagement and learning growth across multi-age classes.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the relevant curriculum and ability to integrate literacy and numeracy.
• Experience planning and implementing high impact teaching strategies and evaluating learning programs.
• Experience monitoring and assessing student learning; using data to inform teaching and provide feedback to students and parents.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to collaborate with students, parents, colleagues and community.
• Reflective practice and engagement in professional learning to improve teaching quality.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups of students and individual students.
• Contribute to development, implementation and evaluation of a curriculum area or program.
• Undertake other classroom teaching and organisational duties as directed by the principal.
• Participate in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
• Undertake other non-teaching supervisory duties.
