Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the curriculum and the ability to incorporate literacy and numeracy elements.
• Experience planning for high impact teaching strategies and evaluating their impact.
• Experience monitoring and assessing student learning and providing feedback to students and parents.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with students, parents, colleagues and the community.
• Commitment to reflective practice and ongoing professional learning to improve teaching quality.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups and individuals.
• Contribute to development, implementation and evaluation of a curriculum or program within the school.
• Undertake other teaching-related and organisational duties as required by the Principal.
• Participate in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
• Undertake other supervisory duties as needed.
