Job summary

Heyfield Primary School in Victoria seeks classroom teachers to plan, prepare and teach programs that improve student outcomes. You will engage in data-informed practice and collaborate with families and colleagues to support learning.

The role includes responsibilities across teaching, assessment and contributing to school priorities within Range 1 or Range 2. Appropriate VIT registration or eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum including literacy and numeracy integration.
• Experience planning high impact teaching strategies and evaluating learning programs.
• Experience monitoring and assessing student learning with data-informed feedback.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with students, parents and staff.
• Behaviours consistent with Department values and commitment to professional learning.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups and individuals to achieve student outcomes.
• Contribute to curriculum development and program evaluation within the school.
• Undertake other classroom duties as directed by the principal.
• Participate in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
• Engage in non-teaching supervisory duties as required.
