Job summary

Artefact Heritage and Environment, Sydney-based heritage consultancy, is seeking a Heritage Consultant to undertake fieldwork and contribute to historical and Aboriginal archaeological assessments. You will research heritage places, prepare clear reports, and engage with Aboriginal communities and clients to build positive relationships.

The role requires at least one year of full-time archaeology or cultural heritage experience, a relevant degree, and a collaborative approach to work across

Qualifications

• At least one year of full-time experience in archaeology or cultural heritage consulting
• Experience in archaeological fieldwork, heritage research, assessment or report writing
• Understanding of NSW heritage legislation and practice
• Strong writing, communication and organisational skills
• Collaborative approach across historical and Aboriginal archaeology

Responsibilities

• Undertake fieldwork and contribute to historical and Aboriginal archaeological assessments
• Research heritage places and prepare clear, well-supported reports and recommendations
• Work with colleagues to deliver projects safely, on time and to a high standard
• Prepare work that meets relevant legislative requirements and professional standards
• Engage respectfully with Aboriginal communities, clients and other stakeholders
• Contribute to proposals and help build positive client relationships
