Job summary

Beca’s Planning & Environment team seeks a Consultant Archaeologist to deliver Aboriginal heritage projects across NSW, contributing to energy, transport, water and Defence sectors. You’ll work on high-quality reports, engage with Aboriginal stakeholders, and participate in field surveys and excavations across NSW landscapes.

You will combine heritage knowledge with GIS skills, work on site as needed, and support proposals and client management in a collaborative environment at Beca.

Qualifications

• Experience in Aboriginal cultural heritage assessment and archaeology within Australia.
• Ability to work with NSW heritage requirements and consult Aboriginal communities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Assessments and related reports.
• Support consultation with Aboriginal stakeholders and parties.
• Present findings to clients and community; conduct field surveys and salvage operations.
• Contribute to proposals, budgeting, scheduling, and field program coordination.
• Collaborate with planners, ecologists, and engineers to integrate heritage outcomes.
