Job summary

TDG Environmental is seeking a Heavy Vehicle Apprentice Mechanic for the afternoon shift in Wetherill Park, NSW. You will learn to service, repair and maintain a specialised fleet of light and heavy vehicles, supported by a safety-focused workshop and hands-on training.

Ideal candidates are early in their career with mechanical curiosity, reliable attendance and a willingness to learn. A current Australian driver licence is essential, with a White Card and basic automotive studies desirable but

Qualifications

Interest in completing a heavy vehicle mechanical apprenticeship
Strong work ethic, reliable attendance and willingness to learn
Practical, hands-on attitude and commitment to safety
Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions
A current Australian driver licence is essential, with red P plates as the minimum requirement. White Card and basic automotive studies desirable but not essential
Must be able to pass pre-employment medical and police clearance

Responsibilities

Assist with routine servicing, inspections and repairs under the guidance of qualified tradespeople
Learn to use diagnostic tools and fault-finding methods
Complete scheduled and reactive workshop tasks
Accurately record maintenance and repair work
Keep the workshop safe, clean and organised
Follow workshop procedures and safety requirements
