Job summary

TDG Environmental is seeking a Heavy Vehicle Apprentice Mechanic for the afternoon shift in Wetherill Park, NSW. You will learn to service, repair and maintain a specialised fleet of light and heavy vehicles, supported by a safety-focused workshop and hands-on training.

Ideal candidates are early in their career with mechanical curiosity, reliable attendance and a willingness to learn. A current Australian driver licence is essential, with a White Card and basic automotive studies desirable but

• Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions
• A current Australian driver licence is essential, with red P plates as the minimum requirement. White Card and basic automotive studies desirable but not essential
• Must be able to pass pre-employment medical and police clearance

• Assist with routine servicing, inspections and repairs under the guidance of qualified tradespeople
• Learn to use diagnostic tools and fault-finding methods
• Complete scheduled and reactive workshop tasks
• Accurately record maintenance and repair work
• Keep the workshop safe, clean and organised

Heavy Vehicle Apprentice Mechanic - Afternoon Shift

Wetherill Park, NSW | Permanent full-time

About the role

We're looking for an apprentice mechanic to join our afternoon-shift team in Wetherill Park. You'll learn to service, repair and maintain a specialised fleet of light vehicles, heavy vehicles and equipment.

This shift completes servicing and repairs while much of the fleet is off the road, helping keep vehicles available during the day. Whether you're leaving school, changing careers or already have some workshop exposure, we're looking for mechanical interest, reliability and a willingness to learn.
