Job summary

BHP Group in Western Australia is seeking a Heavy Road Transport Mechanic to service and repair a fleet of highway trucks and support equipment at the Newman site on a lifestyle roster.

You will diagnose, maintain and repair Scania/Fuso trucks, lighting plants, and mobile equipment, while adhering to BOS and safety standards. Strong team collaboration and willingness to learn are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Australian recognised Heavy Road Transport Mechanical Qualification is required.
• High Risk License Working at Heights, HR, CV, Dogging, Rigging, Forklift, Air Conditioning Ticket are desirable.
• Extensive experience diagnosing, maintaining and repairing a broad range of machinery/equipment.
• Willingness to learn; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well within a close-knit team to achieve outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostics, repairs and maintenance to a fleet of Trucks, Lighting Plants, EWP’s, Forklifts and other equipment.
• Contribute to safety and continuous improvement culture and BOS standards.
• Operate mobile equipment within competence limits.
• Complete technical documentation, reports and drawings.
• Use SAP for time confirmations, notifications and closing work orders.
• Assist with rescheduling of work and coordinating resources when required.
