Job summary

Project Portfolio Management (PPM) in Wollongong, Australia, is seeking a Mechanical/Structural Draftsperson to contribute to major capital works in the Heavy Industry sector. Based in Wollongong, you will develop detailed drawings and specifications, coordinate with consultants, and refine designs to optimise performance across projects.

The role requires a Diploma or higher in Mechanical or Structural Engineering, proficiency in CAD software, and strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for mechanical equipment, dies/tools, and controls using CAD.
• Coordinate with other consultants to design, lay out, or detail components and systems.
• Review specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas to assess factors affecting designs.
• Layout and draw schematic, orthographic, or angle views to depict relationships of components and assemblies.
• Consult with engineering staff to resolve problems and modify designs to improve performance.
