Job summary

Wisely Group is seeking a qualified Heavy Diesel Fitter to join its Field Service Division in Australia. You will perform on-site diagnostics, breakdown support, repairs, and proactive maintenance on heavy earthmoving equipment across mining sites.

The role requires hands-on field work, strong fault-finding skills, and a commitment to safety and quality. Accommodation and meals are provided, with ongoing training and a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• Australian Trade qualification as a Diesel Fitter or Heavy Diesel Mechanic.
• Field service or site-based heavy equipment maintenance experience.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Experience on civil, mining or heavy earthmoving equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert diagnostics and breakdown support in the field.
• Carry out repairs and scheduled maintenance on heavy machinery.
• Work hands-on with civil/mining/heavy earthmoving equipment.
• Operate safely with site compliance and team coordination.

What You’ll Bring

• Australian Trade qualified Diesel Fitter / Heavy Diesel Mechanic
• Proven experience in field service or site-based heavy equipment maintenance
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Experience working on civil, mining, or heavy earthmoving equipment (e.g. CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi, Liebherr)
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
• Commitment to safe work practices and site compliance standards
• Current driver’s licence (HR desirable)
• Standard 11 - Surface Coal
• Strong communication skills and a team focused attitude
