Job summary

Baltic Diesel is hiring Field Service Diesel Fitters for Queensland mining ops. You’ll service and repair heavy mobile equipment across major mine sites, with breakdowns, diagnostics and major component changes on CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi, and Liebherr machinery.

Relocation assistance and ongoing training are offered, with a 7/7 roster and company ute + fuel card. Join a growing, privately owned Queensland business that values field service expertise and safety.

Qualifications

• Australian-recognised Diesel Fitter trade qualification or equivalent.
• Previous mining and heavy mobile equipment experience.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Current driver's licence.
• Standard 11 and Coal Board Medical (preferred).
• A strong safety focus and pride in your workmanship.
• A reliable, team-first attitude.

Responsibilities

• Breakdown repairs, servicing and scheduled maintenance
• Diagnostics, fault finding and defect repairs
• Major component change-outs and shutdowns
• Working on CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi, Liebherr and other major OEM equipment
• Supporting site maintenance requirements and occasional Mackay based workshop projects

The work

You’ll be working across major mine sites throughout the Bowen Basin, carrying out field service maintenance and repairs on heavy mobile equipment.

Your day-to-day will include:
