Job summary

WorkPac is a leading Australian provider of heavy earthmoving equipment solutions and is looking for a Heavy Vehicle/Mobile Plant Technician to service and repair mining equipment across Australia.

You will perform ongoing maintenance, diagnose faults on Caterpillar, Komatsu and Hitachi machinery, and complete preventative and breakdown maintenance to meet safety and cost targets. A strong commitment to safety and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Current Heavy Vehicle or Mobile Plant Trade Qualification.
• Minimum 2 years post-trade experience on heavy earthmoving equipment.
• Experience working on Caterpillar, Komatsu and Hitachi equipment.
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment.
• High Risk Work Licences including Dogging, Rigging, Crane or EWP (highly regarded).

Responsibilities

What you will be doing:

Conducting ongoing maintenance, servicing and repairs on heavy mining equipment

Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical faults on Caterpillar, Komatsu and Hitachi machinery

Completing preventative and breakdown maintenance activities

Ensuring maintenance repairs are completed in accordance with company standards and cost targets

Providing support to the Emeco rental fleet as required

What you will need:
