Job summary

MGG Health is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing for healthcare professionals and contractors. You will interpret Awards and Enterprise Agreements, manage timesheets, handle inquiries, and maintain confidential records within a hybrid Sydney-based environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in payroll processing within a complex workforce.
• Strong knowledge of Australian Awards and Enterprise Agreements.
• Ability to interpret allowances, penalties, overtime and loadings.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll for doctors, nurses, allied health professionals and contractors.
• Interpret and apply relevant Awards, Enterprise Agreements, allowances, penalties, overtime, and loadings.
• Review, validate, and reconcile timesheets, payroll data, and pay calculations.
• Respond to payroll enquiries from healthcare professionals, contractors, and stakeholders, providing timely resolutions.
• Ensure payroll processes comply with Fair Work legislation, taxation requirements, superannuation obligations, and company policies.
• Maintain payroll records and documentation with a high level of accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
• Collaborate with recruitment and workforce teams to ensure pay rates, allowances, and contractual arrangements are correctly applied.
• Reconcile payroll reports and support month-end, year-end, and audit requirements.
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing preventative measures.
• Support payroll system enhancements, process improvements, and automation initiatives that improve efficiency.
• Contribute to a positive workforce experience through exceptional customer service and stakeholder support.
