Job summary

Med-X is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth across healthcare, aged care, medical and commercial sectors in Sydney. This field-based role focuses on building lasting customer partnerships and delivering tailored service solutions.

You will manage a robust sales pipeline, conduct market analysis, lead tender discussions, and collaborate with Operations, Compliance and Finance to ensure smooth onboarding and service delivery.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years' experience in business development or field-based sales.
• Proven success achieving sales targets and winning new business opportunities.
• Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Commercially minded with a proactive and solutions-focused approach.
• Highly organised with strong time management and administrative capability.
• Experience managing CRM systems and sales pipelines.
• Collaborative and able to work effectively across multiple teams and departments.
• Experience in healthcare, medical waste, or related industries is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Identify, research, and secure new business opportunities across medical and commercial sectors.
• Develop and execute strategic sales plans aligned with growth objectives.
• Conduct market and competitor analysis to support territory expansion and sales activity.
• Build and manage a strong pipeline of opportunities, converting leads into long-term customers.
• Promote Med-X services including clinical waste, hygiene, sharps, and ancillary solutions.
• Lead customer meetings, presentations, proposals, and tender discussions.
• Represent the business at networking events, conferences, and industry functions.
• Work with Operations, Compliance, Customer Service, Finance, and Field Services teams to ensure onboarding and service delivery.
• Maintain accurate CRM records, reporting, contracts, and customer documentation.
• Identify customer needs and develop customised, commercially effective solutions.
• Provide market insights and customer feedback to support improvement and innovation.
