Job summary

SEEK is seeking a senior safety professional to lead site support and provide strategic leadership across civil, utilities and renewable energy projects in NSW. You will partner with project teams and senior management to strengthen risk controls and maintain our Integrated Management System.

You will drive ISO compliance (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001), conduct audits and investigations, and foster a durable safety culture with on-site leaders across NSW projects.

Qualifications

• Must have strong risk management experience.
• Experience conducting audits and investigations.
• Solid knowledge of ISO 9001/14001/45001 and safety systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead improvements to safety, quality, environmental and risk-management systems.
• Maintain ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 compliance.
• Conduct project audits, inspections and critical-risk verifications.
• Lead incident investigations and corrective-action processes.
• Support SWMS, risk assessments, permits, ITPs and project quality records.
• Provide HSEQ reporting, trend analysis and recommendations to management.
• Assist with tenders, client audits and contractor prequalification.
• Coach operational leaders and engage site personnel.
• Support the implementation of digital compliance and reporting systems.

About you

• At least seven years' senior safety, assurance or HSEQ experience
• Background in civil construction, utilities, infrastructure or renewable energy
• Practical experience in self-performing contracting environments
• Strong knowledge of ISO-certified management systems
• Demonstrated capability in investigations, auditing and critical-risk management
• Relevant WHS, environmental, engineering or construction qualification
