Job summary

Aeris Resources Limited is seeking a Health & Safety Advisor at Tritton Copper Operations in Nyngan, NSW, on a fixed-term 12-month basis. The role supports the safety management system, provides technical advice, and coaches personnel across operations.

You will conduct safety inspections, audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations while driving continuous safety improvements and safeguarding frontline and leadership awareness of safety practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in mining health and safety advisory roles, preferably underground or complex multi-site operations.
• Strong working knowledge of NSW WHS and mining legislation.
• Experience in risk management, audits and regulatory engagement.
• Demonstrated experience implementing and overseeing workplace safety management systems.
• Proven capability to lead significant incident investigations and convert findings into sustainable improvements.
• Solid analytical and administration skills with the ability to explain risk to frontline and senior leaders.

We’ve got the rocks covered but we’re looking for one more incredible person to join the team based at our Tritton Operation as a Health & Safety Advisor for a fixed term of 12 months.

The Nitty Gritty

Reporting to the HSET Manager, as the Health and Safety Advisor, you will play an integral part in our operations, supporting the development and implementation of the safety management system, and providing technical advice and coaching to all personnel within Tritton Operations.

In your day to day, you will assist with ongoing safety inspections and audits, and support incident investigations and risk assessments through the collation of data and evidence gathering

You will be responsible for promoting awareness of Health and Safety Practices and reporting incidents.

You will champion HSET best practice across the business and site and partner closely with line management to ensure they deliver to their safety accountabilities.

What you Bring:

• Demonstrated experience in mining health and safety advisory roles, preferably in an underground or complex multi-site operation.
• Strong working knowledge of NSW WHS and mining legislation.
• Experience in risk management, audits and regulatory engagement.
• Demonstrated experience implementing and overseeing workplace safety management systems.
• Proven capability to lead significant incident investigations and convert findings into sustainable operational improvements.
• Solid analytical and administration skills and communication capability, with the ability to clearly explain health and safety risk to frontline and senior leaders.
• Relevant tertiary or vocational qualification in Work Health and Safety (Certificate IV or higher).

Tritton Operations

Tritton Copper Operations is a long-life copper mine located near the towns of Nyngan and Cobar in central New South Wales. Commencing production in 2005, Tritton is 100% owned and operated by Aeris Resources and forms the cornerstone of our copper production.

Tritton mines from multiple sources and as we look to bring more mines into production, we are transitioning to a 'hub-and-spoke' model where ore is transported to our centralised mill for processing.
