Job summary

Aeris Resources Limited, based at our Brisbane Corporate Office, is seeking a Senior HR Advisor to partner with corporate leaders and provide expert guidance across the full employee lifecycle.

Reporting to the Corporate HR Manager, you will handle employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, remuneration, talent and recruitment, and policy advice, while supporting site HR teams and offering back-up coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related field.
• Experience with HRIS and employment legislation.
• Senior HR or advisory experience in mining/heavy industry preferred.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance on the full employee lifecycle and partnering with corporate leaders.
• Support workplace relations, performance management, workforce planning, remuneration, talent and recruitment, and policy advice.
• Back up site HR teams and act as head office touchpoint for operational HR peers.
• Assist with leave coverage and short-term vacancies to ensure continuity of HR services across the operation.

The Nitty Gritty

Reporting to the Corporate HR Manager, as a Senior / HR Advisor, you'll be a trusted partner to our corporate leaders, providing expert guidance on the full employee lifecycle. From employee relations and performance management to workforce planning, remuneration, talent and recruitment, workplace conduct, and policy advice, you'll help leaders navigate complex people matters while driving a culture of performance, accountability, and engagement

You will also bring your operational experience and credibility to the business, as this role will be instrumental in supporting our site HR teams, acting as the initial head office touchpoint for our operational HR peers, as well as assisting as back up as required. Your exposure to both the operational and corporate environments will mean you can quickly build effective and credible relationships across all levels of our business.

While primarily a corporate-based role, this position will provide leave coverage and short-term vacancy support for site-based HR team members as required, ensuring continuity of HR services across the operation. Support can be provided as a mix of remote work and short site-based assignments

What you Bring:

• Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related field
• Experience using Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)
• Strong understanding of employment legislation and enterprise agreements, with the ability to interpret and apply them confidently
• Experience in a Senior HR or Advisory role within mining or heavy industry (desirable)
• High proficiency in MS Office and other business systems
• Strong attention to detail and a disciplined approach to work
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels
• Proven ability to coach, influence, and support key stakeholders
• Confidence to challenge the status quo and drive better outcomes
