RAFI by Applejack Hospitality in North Sydney is seeking an experienced Head Waitstaff to join our premium dining team. This full-time role involves leading a section, delivering high-quality service and expert wine and cocktail knowledge in a fast-paced environment.

You will greet and seat guests, coordinate orders, train junior staff, and ensure smooth operations with compliance to safety and RSA requirements. Weekend/evening shifts apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years' relevant experience in a comparable restaurant environment.
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage service, including wine and cocktail service.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle high-volume service periods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to delivering outstanding guest service.
• Current RSA certificate.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a section of the restaurant floor, ensuring smooth service and high standards.
• Greet, seat, and engage with guests, providing professional and attentive service throughout their dining experience.
• Take and coordinate food and beverage orders, with detailed knowledge of menus, daily specials, and wine pairings.
• Oversee and support junior wait staff, providing training, guidance, and feedback.
• Manage table allocations, coordinate with the kitchen and bar teams, and ensure efficient service delivery.
• Respond to and resolve guest concerns in a professional and timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety, hygiene, and RSA requirements.
• Contribute to maintaining service standards and supporting overall restaurant operations.
