Job summary

RAFI URBNSURF, part of Applejack Hospitality, seeks a Head Waitstaff for its premium dining venue in Sydney Olympic Park. You will lead a section, greet guests, and ensure high-quality F&B service in a fast-paced setting with wine and cocktail expertise.

Two years’ experience, RSA certification, and strong communication are essential to deliver outstanding guest experiences while maintaining safety standards and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years' relevant experience in a similar restaurant.
• Strong knowledge of F&B service including wine and cocktail service.
• Ability to work under pressure during high-volume periods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to outstanding guest service.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a section of the restaurant floor, ensuring smooth service and high standards are maintained.
• Greet, seat, and engage with guests, providing professional and attentive service throughout their dining experience.
• Take and coordinate food and beverage orders, with detailed knowledge of menus, daily specials, and wine pairings.
• Oversee and support junior wait staff, providing training, guidance, and feedback.
• Manage table allocations, coordinate with the kitchen and bar teams, and ensure efficient service delivery.
• Respond to and resolve guest concerns in a professional and timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety, hygiene, and RSA requirements.
• Contribute to maintaining service standards and supporting overall restaurant operations.
