RAFI by Applejack Hospitality in North Sydney is seeking Head Waitstaff to join our premium dining venue. You will lead a section, deliver high-quality service, and ensure guest satisfaction.

This full-time role offers great pay, ongoing training, health resources, and flexible rosters, with weekend/evening work required. RSA certificate and 2+ years’ experience are required to join the team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years’ relevant restaurant experience.
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage service, including wine and cocktails.
• Ability to work under pressure during high-volume service.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certificate.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a section of the restaurant floor, ensuring smooth service and high standards.
• Greet, seat, and engage with guests, providing professional and attentive service throughout their dining experience.
• Take and coordinate food and beverage orders, with detailed knowledge of menus, daily specials, and wine pairings.
• Oversee and support junior wait staff, providing training, guidance, and feedback.
• Manage table allocations, coordinate with the kitchen and bar teams, and ensure efficient service delivery.
• Respond to and resolve guest concerns in a professional and timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety, hygiene, and RSA requirements.
• Contribute to maintaining service standards and supporting overall restaurant operations.
