Job summary

RAFI URBNSURF, located in Sydney Olympic Park, seeks an experienced Head Waitstaff member to lead a restaurant section and deliver exceptional guest experiences in a fast-paced premium dining environment.

You will oversee service, train junior staff, coordinate with kitchen and bar teams, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and RSA standards. This is a full-time position requiring weekend and evening work.

Qualifications

• Two years' experience in a comparable restaurant environment.
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage service, including wine and cocktail service.
• Ability to work under pressure during high-volume service periods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to outstanding guest service.
• Current RSA certificate is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a section of the restaurant floor, ensuring smooth service and high standards.
• Greet, seat, and engage with guests, providing professional and attentive service.
• Take and coordinate food and beverage orders with knowledge of menus and wine pairings.
• Oversee and support junior wait staff, providing training and feedback.
• Manage table allocations and coordinate with kitchen and bar teams for efficient service.
• Respond to and resolve guest concerns in a professional and timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with WHS, hygiene, and RSA requirements.
• Contribute to maintaining service standards and supporting restaurant operations.
