Lucas Collective in Melbourne is expanding its award-winning wine program and seeks a Head Sommelier to deliver an exceptional wine experience across our portfolio of premium restaurants.

You will lead service, cellar upkeep, inventory, and staff training while staying current with industry trends; the role requires full-time availability, weekend and holiday shifts, and a passion for hospitality excellence.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience as Head Sommelier or Assistant Head Sommelier.
• Extensive knowledge of wine, new and old world.
• Passion for the wine industry.
• Strong understanding of management practices.
• Demonstrated experience in leading high-performing teams and exceeding targets.
• Exceptional service skills and guest focused.
• Experience with stock control and inventory management is advantageous.
• Must be up-to-date with industry trends.
• Highly adaptable and able to perform in high-pressure service periods.
• Proven ability in building effective relationships.
• Organisational and time management skills.
• Exceptional communication and presentation.
• Full time availability including weekends, public holidays, opening and closing shifts.
• WSET certification or similar is highly regarded.
